I SAID NIGGA THATS THE POINT

LITTLE BROTHER-DREAMS

Somehow I can't believe I didn't start off the blog with this song... this is THE song that got me into dank beats. For years I was a classic 60s 70s rock fan (still am) and absolutely hated hip hop and rap. Well, after a few bowls and this song accidentally coming on here we are today; a hip hop head. Little Brother will always have a special place in my heart and I'll do some more on them later on below but this song is a mandatory must listen. Lyrically, it is out of this world it gives me chills to listen to it to be honest.

Little Brother, coming out of Durham, North Carolina, was comprised of two rappers, Phonte and Rapper Big Pooh, and their producer 9th Wonder, an up and coming who is reminiscent of Dilla in his sample and beat production. This songs off the GetBack album released in 2007 which is the first without 9th Wonder (and as a result the production quality is pretty downgraded.. with exceptions like this song. Also generally reviewed as a disappointing album...although not necessarily true in my opinion). Sadly, LB broke up in 2010 and hip hop lost one of its most influential groups of the modern era.

LITTLE BROTHER-LOVIN' IT

LITTLE BROTHER-ALL FOR YOU

LITTLE BROTHER-THE LISTENING

LITTLE BROTHER-PLAYIN TO LOSE

LITTLE BROTHER FEAT MOS DEF-LET IT GO (DJ DRAMA VERSION)

(Drama's drops are so immature and rididculous if you can find the version without them its so much tighter cause its a hot song....)
